We all want the same things out of life - enough money to live comfortably and the freedom to enjoy life.
Unfortunately many, many scams saturate both the online and offline media. You need to protect yourself as best you can from the outright misdirection from advertising that you may receive everyday.
In life there are people who are for you, and those that are against you. Unfortunately some people and businesses who appear to be for you are in reality using tactics and misinformation within their advertising to cheat you out of your money. They prey on people who want more out of life but usually fail to research and check into the people and items being sold..
Is it cruel to prey on the emotions that drive the human psychic? Depending on the circumstances probably not. But in the cas of cheating someone out of their hard earned money it certainly is.
Is it unscrupulous behavior on the part of a seller to tell potential buyers 'what they want to hear'? More than likely yes.
You should always, always be prudent and some what reserved in responding to the offers that abound on and off line. Could you really make $50,000 in 8 weeks? Some mail order and internet sites promote advertising like this all the time. If you're struggling to make 20 - 30 or even $50,000 in a year, how on earth can you believe that you will do it in "8 weeks". Oh, I'm sure their are rare instances of someone doing it - but not as the norm - as the advertising would want you to think. It takes work, hard work, and a lot of it to make that kind of money on or off the internet.
The old "bait and switch" scam lives on in most of the advertising material you're seeing these days. It has been nicely disguised. Picture this - you buy a book, plan or program that promises to lead you to riches. All of the information sounds great - it's written by professionals to sound that way - but it just seems to be missing something. But wait, the author has some advanced information that you really must have to make that Big Money, and it will only cost you anywhere from 5 to 10 times more for it than you paid for the original book, plan or program! If you can't make money with the first program, why would you buy another? Promoters are playing to your greed and your sense that there 'is an easy way to get rich'.
- BAIT = advertising
- SWITCH = have to buy another more expensive product.
Chances are even if you buy the more expensive product you're still not going to attain the dreams of a more secure financial future with the freedom you want.
Bottom line - If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.
